Paper or kraft
A tactile, economical route when the label and packaging will remain dry and the natural surface suits the brand.
Choose a label construction by surface, moisture, temperature, handling, transparency and removal—not appearance alone.
A useful label combines face material, adhesive, ink or toner, optional white ink, protective finish and a shape that suits the surface. Each part affects how the sticker applies and survives.
“Waterproof” is not a complete specification. Water resistance depends on the full construction, printed image, lamination, edges, application and duration of exposure.

Moisture, condensation, refrigeration and edge exposure need to be discussed—not assumed from the word “waterproof”.
Creates a transparent look. White ink may be required beneath colour or text so artwork remains visible.
Material, adhesive, ink, lamination, surface and expected exposure must work together for the intended lifespan.
Name the exact substrate: glass, coated board, plastic type, metal, painted wall or another material. Smoothness and surface energy matter.
State indoor or outdoor use, moisture, condensation, refrigeration, heat, sunlight, cleaning and expected service life.
Choose permanent, removable or specialist adhesive based on the surface and whether clean removal or strong long-term grip matters more.
White material hides the surface; clear material reveals it. White ink can support colour and readability on transparent or dark items.
Matt gives a restrained look; gloss increases shine and contrast. Lamination can add protection but does not make every construction universally waterproof.
Clean, dry surfaces and suitable application temperature improve adhesion. Curves, small diameters and textured surfaces may require special planning.
Vinyl is water resistant, but real performance also depends on the print process, protective finish, adhesive, exposed edges, surface and length of exposure.
Paper is a practical choice for dry indoor packaging, boxes, bags and short-life labels where a film is unnecessary.
White vinyl gives an opaque white base. Clear vinyl allows the surface to show through and may need white ink beneath artwork for opacity and contrast.
No universal guarantee applies. Surface condition, material, adhesive, temperature and how long the sticker remains applied all affect removal. Test the actual surface.
Choose by appearance, handling and protection needs. Matt reduces glare; gloss looks brighter and can be easier to wipe, depending on the laminate and construction.
A suitable film and adhesive are commonly considered, but condensation, bottle material, application temperature and immersion risk should be tested for the real product.
